# Snowflake

> Learn how to connect your Snowflake database to Fyno Connect and use your data to create cohorts for audience segmentation and targeted campaigns.

Connect your Snowflake database to Fyno Connect with your account details and credentials. Once connected, you can build cohorts directly from the data in your database.

## Connect your Snowflake database

#### Open Snowflake from Databases

Go to **Databases** and click **Snowflake**. The **Add a Snowflake database** pop-up opens.

#### Enter the connection details

Fill in the following fields:

* **Custom Name**: A unique name to identify this Snowflake connection in Fyno Connect.
* **Account Name**: The name of your Snowflake account. To find it, see Snowflake's [account identifier guide](https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/admin-account-identifier).
* **User Name**: The username used to access your Snowflake account.
* **Password**: The password for that user.
* **Warehouse**: The name of the warehouse to use.
* **Database**: The name of the database you want to connect.

All fields except Custom Name are masked by default. Click the eye icon on a field to view its value.

#### Add the database

Click **Add Database**. Fyno tests the connection and saves it once the test succeeds. The database then appears under **Connected DBs** on the same page.

#### Create cohorts

You can now create cohorts from the data in your database. See [Create Cohorts](./how-to-create-a-cohort-in-fyno-connect).
