RCS Templates
When you add the RCS channel to a template, the Create your RCS template screen opens. The first field, Type, decides what you build.
Pre-approved RCS Template
A pre-approved template message has a 160-character limit.
Enter the template name
In Template Name, enter the template name defined in your RCS provider account.
Choose the template type
In Template Type, select Simple Text, Rich Card or Carousel, matching the template in your provider account.

Map the body placeholders (optional)
If your template uses variables, map each one under Body Placeholders. For each variable defined in the RCS template, enter the RCS Variable and either map it to a Fyno Placeholder or enter a specific value. Click Add to add more rows, or the delete icon to remove one.
The Preview is not available for pre-approved template content.
Reply: Simple
Under Content Type, choose Text, Image, Video or File, and add the content. The Preview on the right shows how the message looks.

Enter any text, with placeholders. Text messages are limited to 1,000 characters.
For Image, Video and File, select Force Refresh Media so that if the media at the URL is updated, Fyno always fetches the latest version.
Reply: Card
Send a preview of your website or product as an interactive rich card. Customers can click the link on the card to view your website or product. Rich cards can include images, buttons and suggested replies and actions. You can always see how your message looks in the Preview on the right.
Card buttons
You can add up to 4 buttons to a card. There are six types of buttons.
Quick Reply
- Button Title: The text that appears on the button.
- Button Payload (optional): The payload sent back to the system when the button is clicked.
Visit Website
- Button Title: The text that appears on the button.
- Button Payload (optional): The message or payload sent back to the system when the button is clicked.
- URL: The webpage or resource users are taken to when they click the button. Use a base URL before adding variables as suffixes. For example, with the base URL
https://www.fyno.io/customers/followed by[customer_name], the full URL ishttps://www.fyno.io/customers/[customer_name].
Phone Number
The phone number must include a leading + and the country code, with no separators. For example, +919999900000.
Date Select
- Button Title: The text that appears on the button.
- Button Payload (optional): The message or payload sent back to the system when the button is clicked.
- Start Date: When the event starts, for example a conference.
- End Date: When the event ends.
- Event Title: The title of the event.
- Event Description (optional): A description of the event.
Send Location
Show a location by entering the latitude and longitude, or by entering a query.
- Latitude: The latitude in degrees, in the range -90.0 to +90.0. Positive values are north of the equator, negative values are south.
- Longitude: The longitude in degrees, in the range -180.0 to +180.0. Positive values are east of the Prime Meridian, negative values are west.
- Label: The label of the pin dropped at the location.
- Query: A search query. For example, “Wework Co-working Space” shows all Wework co-working locations near the user, while “32, 5th Block, Jaya Nagar, Bengaluru 560041” selects that specific address, regardless of the user’s location.
Request Location
Asks the user to share their location.
Reply: Carousel
Add up to 10 rich cards in a carousel. Each card has the same fields as a rich card.
How to add dynamic content
You can add dynamic content to your templates using one of the four options below:
Save and go live
Click Save to save the template as a Test version. Use Go Live when you are ready to move your template to the Live version.
If template approvals are enabled in your workspace, Go Live needs an additional approval step. Choose from your designated approvers, who review and authorize the template changes. See Approval flow for the steps.
